Tryout Format

Have the participants come out in matching outfits with their number on the front.  The participants should come out one at a time and show spirit until they get to their spot.  If you are judging tumbling, they would have the option to tumble as they show spirit on the floor.  When they get to their spot, they should show the required jumps as well as the optional jump.  Repeat until you have 3 to 5 cheerleaders on the floor.

Have the group perform the cheer and chant. Next, start the music for the dance portion.  Have the candidates exit and the next group ready to repeat this process.  After you finish with all of the groups have the judges (or someone from your school) make their final tabulations. The judges may ask for a call back (if the scores are close) to reconfirm their selection.
